Latvian Rural Forum is a common work of rural development specialists and enthusiasts for reaching a common goals. Association cooperate with state, municipal and non-governmental organisations in Latvia and is a member of several European rural networks. Latvian Rural Forum is established in 22.12. 2004. and registered in 27.05. 2005. LRF unites rural nongovernmental organizations for definite purposes:

-    Promote sustainable development of Latvian rural territories;
-    Strengthen civil society in rural territories, promoting local initiatives and cooperation;
-    Represent interests of rural population on national and international level;
-    Cooperate with government, municipalities, NGOs, business persons and other institutions; 

Rural development foundation from Rumania in the field of local food development has developed projects in order to provide an adequate technique and economic information and to train agricultural producers in valorising local opportunities in terms of specific resources, economic circumstances and individual skills. Thus, one of the objectives of the project  -"Supporting Romanian farmers to valorise local resources through the identification of market opportunities"- aimed to improve the understanding of  local food market dynamics.

„Asociace regionálních značek"( Association of Regional Brands)  from the Czech Republic maintains a unified branding system that includes currently 18 brandsof different regions. Regional branding of local production in the Czech Republic has been developing intensively for the last seven years. The first brands, which became the basis for the future Association arose within the project 'People for Nature, Nature for People' supported by the European Commission in 2005.
